Albania was a country I’ve always wanted to visit. Here in Europe, it has a bad reputation. When people think of Albania, they think about the Albanian mafia, poverty, and corruption. Those things are unfortunately true, but I knew that there was so much more to this country, and I wanted to explore it for myself. Unfortunately, it has one of the worst train systems on the continent. That means that there is barely any freight traffic, so hopping across the country was off the table. I still wanted to visit it anyway, so I went to Albania with a friend, and we rented a car for a week. I didn’t film a lot, because I wasn’t planning on making a video out of this trip, but we did some interesting stuff that I thought was worthwhile recording.

I had a great time in this country, I traveled to a lot of countries, but with this one, I had the best experience with people. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. They were glad we decided to visit their country. The nature is also stunning, it has a beautiful coast, but also some impressive mountain ranges. Everything was also very cheap, we mostly spent only 1 or 2 euros on a proper meal! If you ever have the chance to travel to Albania, I would recommend it.

Now I’m leaving in a few days for a bigger trip, a cross country trainhop again, not sure if it will work, but I’m gonna try. I’ll keep you up to date!
